Birds of prey are carnivorous birds that hunt using their claws and the sharp beak, arriving, in the case of the Golden Eagle, to kill the deers.
Centuries ago, falconry was a very popular method of hunting, this is no longer used for hunting wild game but is widely used at airports: the rapacious birds are in fact the most effective method to remove the pigeons from landing strips, so as to avoid the risk of bird strike (sucked into the turbines of the pigeons, which can cause serious problems including risks to the aircraft with passengers).

I rapaci sono uccelli carnivori che cacciano utilizzando gli artigli e l’affilatissimo becco, arrivando, nel caso dell’aquila reale, persino ad uccidere i camosci.

Secoli fa la falconeria era un metodo di caccia molto diffuso, oggi non è più usata per la caccia di selvaggina ma viene largamente impiegata negli aeroporti: i rapaci sono infatti il metodo più efficace per far allontanare i piccioni dalle piste di atterraggio, così da scongiurare il pericolo di bird strike (il risucchio nelle turbine di piccioni che può causare gravi problemi all’aereo con rischi anche per i passeggeri).
